February 2026 Events!

Well, look at me remembering to share on the blog what events I’m in! Here’s where you can find me in February:

Public Events

A graphic by Hae-Joon Lee announcing the Anti-Censorship Comix Jam Celebration on February 25th at 5:00 PM Eastern Time. Under a scroll type banner that reads, "Co-op Anniversary Celebration" are the Co-op mascots Inkling (an Inkwell) karate chopping a censorship bar into shards with Nibford (a dip pen) cheering on. Behind them is a white flash and a halftone style border. Text reads, "Read it and converse about it with contributors and organizers! Viewer discretion advised: Contains content that may be triggering for some!"

Anti-Censorship Comix Jam Launch Party!

February 25 @ 5 PM ET on Zoom

The Cartoonist Cooperative is celebrating its third anniversary next month, and we’re throwing a party to celebrate our Anti-Censorship Comix Jam launching on the same day!

The Anti-Censorship Comix Jam (ACJ) is our response to the recent censorship actions taken by payment processors, itch, and others, and it includes a free, downloadable anthology of brand new comics and art, featuring as much of the banned content as we could manage to fit in. These works will be published on our main Co-op website, where you’ll be able to find the anthology, along with articles about censorship and comics through the ages.

So come celebrate the Co-op anniversary and the launch of the ACJ with us on February 25 @ 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET / 10 PM GMT / 9 AM (Feb 26) AEDT! Join us on Zoom to read the works, learn about censorship, and hear from some of the contributors and organizers about their experience!

Viewer Discretion Is Advised: The Jam’s focus is on deliberately provocative works that include some topics that may be triggering for some folks. Take care of yourself when attending or reading the works, and feel free to step away and come back to the party as needed!

Private Co-op Events

I’ll also be hosting the following events that are exclusive to Co-op members!

A vibrantly colored graphic announcing the Co-op event called Art Huddle! It meets on Thursdays at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET / 6 PM GMT. The Co-op mascots Inklling (an inkpot) and Nibford (a dip pen) are happily making art together with Inkling using colored pencils to make a comic page and Nibford using a tablet and digital pencil. They both have mugs next to them, and in between them, there's a book with their faces and a heart between them. The title reads, "InkFord," as an amalgamation of their names in a fanship. Resuming on February 5!

Join in once a week on Thursdays at 2 PM ET to hang out while we make art! We usually hang out for 60-90 minutes, and all members and volunteers are welcome. Bring a project of your choice! Screen-sharing encouraged.

A black and white graphic by Goji describing the Cartoonist Co-op's three critique groups with a mini comic featuring two adorable sketched figures talking to one another. In between the four panels, there's a list of the details for when each group meets. Person A leans over this info and says, "See our Critique Schedule to find a group that fits your availability. All meetings run 90 minutes on Zoom." Group A meets every two weeks on Tuesdays. Group B meets every two weeks on Fridays. Group C meets on the last Saturday of every month. Because not all time zones observe daylight savings time, your meet time may vary during the year. Visit the critique-groups channel on the Co-op Discord to confirm! Panel 1: Person A calls Person B over to a circle of chairs with a wave, saying, "Comics Critique Groups! Come share and receive feedback on comics projects by fellow Cartoonist Co-op members and volunteers!" Person B looks interested. Panel 2: Person B muses, "I have some rough pages, but I could also use eyes on a draft of a letter to publishers. Is that okay?" Person A gives a thumbs up and says, "Comins, in-progress of completed, outlines, comics pitches, character designs... if it's comics-related, we want to see it!" Panel 3: Person B looks disheartened and says, "All right, but my last critique felt like getting a bad report card." Person A cheers them up, saying, "Our comic critique groups use a conversational critique system called the Critical Response Process, aka the 'Liz Lerman Method.' The goal is a conversation between artist and audience that keeps artist intent at the forefront." Panel 4: Person B exclaims, "A group that balances talking and listening? FINALLY! But I have more questions than we have page space!" Person A gestures excitedly, saying, "The critique-groups channel on Discord is there for you to meet group members and have all your questions answered!"

The Co-op mascot Nibford (a dip pen) is looking over a comic page Inkling (an ink pot) has created. Inkling is waiting with anticipation and a bit of worry with more pages for Nibford to read.
